Baumber ParkBaumber Park is an imposing period farmhouse with a split persona - the front is Victorian and of elegant proportions with high ceilings and big bay windows, whilst the back, the original house, dates from about 1680 and is pantiled, with Georgian sash windows, low ceilings, beams and an inglenook fireplace. The house stands in its own beautiful gardens of about an acre, with wonderful distant views as far as Lincoln Cathedral standing prominently on the horizon 17 miles away. The gardens, stocked with an array of interesting plants, were created by the proprietor, a knowledgeable plantswoman. There is a 'ha-ha' fence giving uninterrupted views to the adjacent parkland in which cows and calves graze all summer. Page 1. Click for page 2/2
