Bearwood College
Some of the original grandeur of the Victorian house can still be seen;
the entrance hall with the amazing principal staircase inside the main tower;
the Dining Hall offers a magnificent west facing window and is a wonderful space that can accommodate 230 for seated dining;
the Drawing Room is naturally well lit through large windows on two sides and has gorgeous door panelling, wooden floor and spectacular fireplace;
the Billiard Room is an impressive space with its leather-pressed and gilded wallpaper, and a grand open fireplace;
the Mosaic Room is named after its intricate mosaic flooring and links the Picture Gallery to the South Terrace;
the light, airy Picture Gallery is a spacious room with a beautiful ornate ceiling and two impressive fireplaces. The predominance of wood and its continued high quality still determines the atmosphere of the house.
Bearwood College's 350-seated modern purpose-built theatre is the only theatre of its size in the vicinity available for public hire. Backstage there are four small rooms and one large room offering a versatile ‘green room’ space. The foyer provides a generous gathering area and includes a kitchenette for potential bar facility.
