Blair Castle has been transformed a number of times by successive generations, there have been three main stages of development : medieval, Georgian and Victorian. The interior has magnificent rooms decorated by the stuccoist Thomas Clayton of Edinburgh.
The 30 rooms of infinite variety display 700 years of Scottish history including beautiful furniture, fine paintings, arms and armour, china, costumes, lace and embroidery, Masonic regalia, Jacobite relics and other unique treasures.
The imposing Entrance Hall houses a magnificent collection of arms. The collection includes targes (battlle shields) and muskets used at the Battle of Culloden in 1745.

THE SPORTING ESTATE
The surrounding estate of some 140,000 acres offers opportunities for stalking red, roe and fallow deer; for grouse, partridge, pheasant and rough shooting; and for fishing on the famous Rivers Tummel, Garry and Tilt.
