Clanmurry is a traditional Georgian house, situated with excellent access to the A1 road, conveniently close to Belfast and not far from the border. The house is extremely comfortable and the extensive gardens are great for Filming in.
A special feature is the many interesting ship paintings - a legacy from another era when the McCorkell family owned a passenger shipping line. These ships took thousands of emigrants across the Atlantic to a new life in America and Canada in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. This Historic link between Ireland and The New World should be of particular interest to Film Makers in The USA and Canada.
Clanmurry is 20 miles from Belfast and can be reached in less than 30 minutes. Both Belfast Airports are 40 minutes and Dublin Airport is 1 hour 30 minutes away.
Clanmurry is the perfect Film Location and Unit Base when Filming in the area.
