The building still incorporates some of the original 15th century structure but has over the years been embellished upon by many famous architects.

The halls lavishly restored rooms are sumptuously decorated with rich fabrics and antiques. The luxurious State dining room is adorned with splendid family portraits whilst the Stucco ballroom offers sophisticated opulence.
The immaculately kept gardens and parkland were landscaped in 1770 by Sir Lancelot 'Capability' Brown.
