Lockerbie Manor Country House Hotel
Lockerbie Manor Country House Hotel is a Georgian Manor, built in 1814 and set amidst 78 acres of neighbouring tranquil woodland and fields. Superbly positioned in a prime location in South West Scotland - a perfect place to meet, enjoy fulfilling short breaks with a difference, or to enjoy fine hospitality and cuisine in a most tranquil setting. With extensive private car parking.
Before being transformed into a hotel, it was the home of the Marquis of Queensberry, who formulated the "Queensberry" boxing rules in what is now the hotel's restaurant. Its interior has retained traditional period charm with ornate ceilings and wood panelled large master staircase. As you relax in the elegant lounge with its original Adams fireplace amidst period furniture, enjoy the peace and quiet, and reminisce of bygone years. Extensive, well-appointed facilities full of charm and character include private rooms for conferences/weddings of up to 100 people.
The bar, reception, lounge, function room and restaurant are now of a 4 star standard. Each bedroom is individual in style and quality, from large 4 poster rooms to standard twin, double and family rooms.
