Logie Elphinstone House
Logie Elphinstone House is a luxury holiday let, set within 140 acres of private estate at the foot of Bennachie. Originally built in the 1670s as a fortified tower house it has had extensive modifications over the centuries creating the magnificent house with its turrets and courtyard.The south facing lawns to the front of the house run down to the banks of the river Urie and a private island that can be reached by foot bridge. There is trout and salmon fishing rights on the river. To the west of are ancient woodlands and Pictish standing stones, dating back some three thousand years. To the north is a small apple and plum orchard. The estate has miles of walks and tracks for cycling and riding and there will be a sand paddock and cross country course for 2011.
