The Lynch Country House

This superb Regency house is set in lush countryside on the edge of the delightful medieval market town of Somerton, the ancient capital of Wessex.
The Lynch is a perfect base when Filming in a whole range of interesting places including stately homes, famous gardens, museums etc and the area is ideal for walking, touring, hunting and fishing.
This review from The Good Hotel Guide 2010 basically says it all The Lynch was nominated by them as one of the top 7 B&B's in the Country. "The great selling point of this fine Georgian house is soon apparent to visitors: Roy Copeland, affable, ever-helpful and downright entertaining. It's hardly surprising, as he's been entertaining all his life, mostly in big bands - hence the grand piano and other instruments in the sunny breakfast room (our inspection breakfast in here was excellent). Aside from Roy however, the house is good value too: spacious, well-proportioned rooms on three floors rising up to an observatory at the top equipped with a telescope. Bedrooms are spotlessly clean and tidy with a homely atmosphere and occasional fine touches such as a brass four-poster or a roll-top bath. Outside there are some lovely woods and lawned gardens complete with duck-filled pond. For dinner, the town centre is less than five minutes' walk."
