Mount Edgcumbe House & Country Park

The house, its gardens and parkland are available for filming, civil wedding ceremonies, small conferences, meetings and Corporate Events.

Mount Edgcumbe House was originaly built in the mid 1500s as the home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe and was built to take advantage of the wonderful situation and views. It is set in 865 acres of country park and formal gardens. The Mount Edgcumbe Country Park was the earliest landscaped park in Cornwall. Today it is made up of Grade I listed gardens and 55 Grade II and II* listed structures. In 1971 the house together with was sold to Cornwall County and Plymouth City Councils. The house is now beautifully restored to the 18th century style, in keeping with the furniture and family treasures it holds, all of which have family connections.
