Sandon Hall is the elegant, neo-Jacobean home of the Earls of Harrowby and is an excellent location for filmmakers. Rebuilt in 1854, and situated in the heart of Staffordshire (with easy motorway access), this atmospheric building is surrounded by 400 acres of rolling parkland which includes a notable arboretum and several monuments/follies.
The venue is steeped in history and exudes grandeur whilst being homely and tranquil. The fine public rooms are used for weddings and corporate functions; consequently they are only partially furnished, making it very straightforward to dress and to strike.
Recently (Oct 2002) featured in an episode of BBC's flagship crime series, "Dalziel & Pascoe", Sandon Hall is a golden opportunity in waiting for big-screen producers.
