Trengove Farm
Trengove Farm with its listed farmhouse and buildings is surrounded by open fields and is ideally positioned between the old tin mining village of Illogan and the harbour side village of Portreath. Trengove is a working farm and retains all the charm of a bygone era.
The house, dates back to the early 1600’s and is full of character, with beautiful stained-glass windows, huge granite fireplaces, original staircases and beamed ceilings. It was also the home of a notorious 19th century smuggler, William Burgess.
Seven farm buildings have been cleverly restored as holiday cottages which provide plenty of unit accommodation with Free WIFI available and there is ample unit parking with very media friendly owners in Andrew and Lynsey Richards. The location sits close to the county town of Truro with its lovely cathedral and is only a mile from the sea with lovely country walks and cycle trails from the farm.
