Orchardleigh House
Built in 1856 by the Duckworth family, Orchardleigh House is a magnificent 42 bedroomed Stately home set within 550 acres of unspoiled parkland.
On the ground floor, the ballroom and blue room still contain original features such as crystal wall candle sconces and ornate ceiling work. The dining room is a step back in time with the house's original wallpaper, wooden flooring and a wall map of the original boundaries of the Orchardleigh Estate. The vestibule (main hall), has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to its former glory and is dominated by the stunning ceiling and original stained glass windows and cunningly hidden pews. Also on the ground floor is the original Victorian kitchen, with the old table still taking pride of place. The original ovens and Belfast sinks transfer you back to a bygone age.
